Opportunities- Joining the lab

Lab members in the Kadener Lab benefit from a rich interdisciplinary atmosphere, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and a culture of collaboration and curiosity. We have a track record of our alumni moving on to successful careers in academia and industry.

  • Postdoctoral Positions:  We are seeking postdocs to lead a projects on functions of circRNAs in the brain as well as in relationship with aging. The candidates will use transcriptomics and molecular genetics in Drosophila ato identify functional roles of circRNAs in neuronal function and behavior. If interested send CV, cover letter, references to Dr. Kadener’s email.

  • PhD Students: The lab is accepting graduate students! Our students have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge RNA research, and we foster a supportive environment for developing independent scientists.

  • Undergraduate Researchers/Interns: We often have openings for motivated undergraduate students from Brandeis or other institutions to conduct research for credit or through summer programs. Projects can range from bioinformatics analysis of circRNA data to hands-on fly genetics experiments. Interested undergrads should contact us with a brief statement of interest and unofficial transcript.

  • Visiting Scientists or Collaborators: We are open to hosting visiting scholars or collaborating on projects aligned with our interests. Please reach out if you’d like to work with us!
